BFR For Advanced Muscle Building Program

3-Phase Advanced Strength Training Program with B3 Bands

For serious weight or powerlifters, each 60-day phase can be shortened to 30 days, totaling 3 months.

After completing the 90 or 180-day period, you can alternate these 3 different workouts as desired.

First 60 Days - BFR Only on Alternating Days

  • On alternating workout days, use BFR Bands with approximately 30% of your 1-rep max.
  • Adjust weights to reach maximal fatigue with 3 sets of 30, 15, and 15 reps, with no more than 30 seconds rest in between. Add a 4th set of 15 reps after a few workouts to push to maximal failure.
  • Move quickly between lifts or body parts, achieving failure rapidly before moving to the next exercise.
  • BFR workouts should be quick, lasting less than 30 minutes.
  • Remember, it's 'OK' to lift light and for a shorter duration; results will come!

Second 60 Days - BFR as a Starter

  • For every workout, start each body part or lift with the B3 Bands, performing a quick set of 30-45 reps to achieve a quick fatigue or hard burn at around 30% of your 1-rep max. It may take up to 50 reps to feel the hard burn and pump.
  • Then, deflate or remove the Bands and continue with your normal lifts.

Third 60 Days - BFR as a Finisher

  • For every workout, at the end of each body part or lift, quickly pump up the Bands and do a 'burnout' set with the Bands. Perform a quick set of 30-45 reps to reach maximal failure at approximately 30% of your 1-rep max. The number of reps may vary, but the goal is to hit maximal failure with the light weight.
